Snapple has announced that their glass bottles are available at select retailers and local NYC bodegas now through December, or while supplies last. The comeback is apparently part of a promotion about “a hometown hero returning.” Snapple said in a statement:

Why Did Snapple Discontinue Glass Bottles?
Snapple began phasing out its glass bottles and metal caps in 2017 in an effort to “be more sustainable“–the current bottles are made out of 100% recycled plastic and 80% less material than the glass bottles.
Sadly, by 2021, it was as if the glass bottles never existed–and New Yorkers haven’t felt true happiness since.
Why Are Glass Snapple Bottles Back?
Snapple’s decision to package select flavors in the nostalgic bottles was due to “demand for nostalgia from an OVERWHELMING number of consumers.” Translation: we did that. Let’s keep yelling.
Why Have The Glass Snapple Bottles Only Returned To NYC?
If you can’t quite explain why the return of these bottles has you this hyped, it’s simple—Snapple’s in our DNA. Born in Brooklyn back in 1972, it’s as New York as it gets. The company told Today:
The focus on New York pays homage to Snapple’s Brooklyn birthplace where the brand has retained a higher level of fandom.
