It’s a simple formula; Iconic band + Iconic venue = fully fueled Hype Train. Seems like that hype train might just be the Q train.
Queens Of The Stone Age play famous Madison Square Garden tonight (October 24) and have hidden free tickets to the show on the New York Subway.
Josh Homme and band play to promote their recent album ‘Villains’, and for an extra slash of drama, the band is giving fans the chance to find free tickets that they’ve hidden on the Q train line.
As Gothamist reported yesterday that envelopes containing three sets of free tickets have been hidden at the 57th Street/7th Avenue, 14th Street-Union Square, and Canal Street/Broadway stops. Queens Of The Stone Age’s label Matador Records confirmed the story with a series of Instagram posts:
service change on the Q line… read carefully. #msg tomorrow

The good news, we can only confirm that one of the three sets of tickets have been found… meaning that there are still two envelopes of three tickets up for grabs.
Michael Palmer, an NJ born musician, found the first tickets yesterday on his lunch hour:
Just found free tickets to @queensofthestoneage . Lunch hour fuck yes. #FindtheQ
