Drive-ins are taking over NYC!
Though many New Yorkers don’t have cars, drive-ins have become all the rage in the city in the age of a pandemic. Of course, it offers a safer movie-going experience as people can easily maintain social distancing with groups limited to their own cars. From beaches in The Bronx to a diner in Queens, we’ve been seeing them pop up around the city all year.
And now Skyline Drive-In NYC can be added to that list. They opened this summer in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, at 1 Oak Street. The prime spot, with stunning views of the Manhattan skyline, is also a popular photo and filming location for commercials and TV shows (so you know it’s gorgeous!). They’re also adding walk-in seating and bicycle racks as the weather gets warmer so you don’t even need a car to enjoy.
You can also enjoy a concessions stand full of treats, because what’s a movie be without fresh popcorn & fizzy drinks?
