Valentine’s Day is only a few days away, and for some, they can’t wait to share kisses and get asked to be someone’s Valentine; but for others, they’re either dreading the day or naming cockroaches after their exes. For those relating to the latter, you might want to make new plans as Emily Brooklyn is hosting NYC dinners dedicated to sharing the best breakup stories in your repertoire.
From Thursday, February 13th through Sunday, February 16th, all diners at Emily Brooklyn will receive a postcard to anonymously write down their best breakup story. The postcards will then be displayed in the foyer.
Anyone who participates and is willing to spill their secrets on the postcard will receive:
- A complimentary Wilde 75 cocktail with Wilde Irish gin (mocktail option available)
- A signed copy of “Divorced Business Partners: A Love Story,” owner Emily Hyland’s poetry book loosely inspired by her and her ex husband’s business succeeding while their marriage wasn’t
- An Alex LaRosa heartbreak cupcake
All participants must be dining at Emily Brooklyn and be 21+ years old to consume alcohol.
The restaurant knows that “sometimes the best part of a relationship is when it’s over” and it’s always cathartic to talk about it—especially after your friends have to hear about it night and day. So why not give your besties a day off and share with Emily Brooklyn?
Emily Brooklyn is a pizza shop out of Clinton Hill, also with a West Village location, from owners Emily and Matt. Each location serves up delicious wood-fired pizzas.
