If this bar sounds marvelously weird to you, that’s because it is. Let out some of that inner aggression at Bury the Hatchet, opening this October in Greenpoint.
Believe it or not, Brooklyn already happens to be home to one hatchet throwing bar already but in case one wasn’t enough, a second will be opening on October 26. Bury the Hatchet is a chain of axe throwing bars with nine locations nationwide. The newest Brooklyn location will mark the company’s first move into New York.
Brooklyn’s first axe-throwing range, Kick Axe, opened in Gowanus at the end of 2017. However owner/operator, Howard Klotzkin notes that what sets the two bars apart is that sessions at Bury the Hatchet will last two hours as compared to 75 minutes at Kick Axe. They will also be offering a different set of games.
According to Brooklyn Paper, “sessions at Bury will cost $49 per person for two hours of hatchet hurling, and up to 10 people will be able to share a lane. An axe master will accompany each group, provide training, and make sure everything stays safe. The bar will also offer an axe-throwing league, with a cash prize for the winners.”
We’re ready to let out some rage, why not try it out?
