An amazing light and sound show is coming to NYC’s Seaport District in just a few short weeks. Sea of Light: An Interactive Journey through Light + Sound is an “immersive sensory adventure” created by artist Alexander Green, in collaboration with Symmetry Labs.
The experience will take place at the South Street Seaport for three months beginning on December 5. The art installation will feature illuminated spheres “from over 150,000 LED bulbs” that “react to various movement and sound patterns,” according to a report by Curbed. The lights and sounds will also respond to touch.
The art installation will be free to view during the evening between 5:30 pm and 7:30 pm every day.

In honor of its opening night, there will also be a free party on Tuesday, December 5 that only requires an RSVP. At the party you’ll be able to enjoy a “free Xyloband, poncho, hot chocolate and mulled wine.”
