Like most New Yorkers, we were bummed when the 94th annual Feast of San Gennaro was canceled in Little Italy for this year.
But luckily thanks to this Astoria restaurant and bakery, you can still enjoy all of classic festival flavors, plus a few new additions with some incredibly delicious twists!
Comfortland, located at 40-09 30th Ave in Astoria, Queens, is known for its over-the-top, deliciously indulgent creations, especially doughnuts. And from September 21 through September 28, they’ll be paying homage to the Feast of San Gennaro — NYC’s largest and longest-running Italian festival that celebrates Italian culture and food, with religious processions, parades, and live music — with a loaded food menu.
They’ll be offering some Italian-American classics, but also putting their own creative twist on items with Italian-inspired flavors.
Here’s a peek of what they’ll be serving:
- Sal & Angie’s Sausage and Peppers
- Chicken Parm Heros
- Boozy Tiramisu Milk Shakes
- Pear & Fig Sangria Slushies
- Frozen Negronis
- Spumoni Ice Cream Pie
- Fried Ravioli
- Deep Fried Rainbow Cake
- Deep Fried Oreos
- Cannoli Doughnuts
- Ice Cream Cannolis
The menu is available from 5-9pm Sept. 21-28 (closed on Mondays) and they will also have daily specials (including the likes of tiramisu bread pudding and loaded mozzarella sticks!).
We know from experience you’ll have to get there RIGHT on time (if not earlier) to snag a slice of the cannoli cream rainbow cake!
