Ask your loved ones what keeps the fire burning in their relationships and some of their answers might surprise you. For some, it’s as simple as taking turns when washing the dishes. For others, it’s receiving lavish gifts that cost more than they’d care to admit. But one thing most hopeless romantics can agree on is that nothing beats sharing in the magic of experience with the person they love the most. To give lovebirds the chance to make meaningful memories this February, Candlelight presents this series of romantic concerts featuring famous love songs, a magical ambiance and lots of candles.
As the season of love creeps closer and closer, love-struck concertgoers will be bathing in the warm glow of candlelight inside Murmrr Theatre and Archdiocesan Cathedral of the Holy Trinity. A string quartet will be serenading audiences with renditions of “My Heart Will Go On”, “Libertango” and more iconic love songs that never fail to get us in our feels.
Candlelight: Valentine’s Day Special ft. “Romeo and Juliet” & More
As the last-minute rush to buy presents for Valentine’s Day gets underway, savvy New Yorkers will be switching the material gifts out for this series of intimate Candlelight concerts. Between the soul-stirring sounds of Jules Massenet’s “Méditation” and the moving melodies of songs like “Moon River” and “My Heart Will Go On”, the evening’s program will be providing the dreamy soundtrack to celebrate Cupid’s famous holiday.
Gone are the days when heart-shaped boxes of chocolates and a singular rose were the best Valentine’s gifts you could expect to receive because there’s no beating Candlelight’s stunning music performances and signature sea of candles at Murmrr Theatre (11 and 14 February) and Archdiocesan Cathedral of the Holy Trinity (13 February) this year.
As the Empire State Building lights up in colors of pink and red, head to Murmrr Theatre and Archdiocesan Cathedral of the Holy Trinity to savor every magical minute of Candlelight with your other half. Besides, who needs roses when you’ve got Candlelight?
There’ll be two concerts on each night, and each show takes place over 60 minutes.
