There’s A Rolling Stones-Themed Bar Open On St Mark’s Place
A bar on the corner of St. Mark’s Place and First Avenue got its inspiration from the English rock band, Rolling Stones.

The Rolling Stones-themed bar called ‘Waiting on a Friend,’ is named after the band’s song from their 1981 Tattoo You album. The video for the song was actually shot on Saint Marks Place between Fist Avenue and Avenue A, which makes the location and namesake appropriately fitting.

The space itself (which was previously the bar known as Colibri), features album artwork and grungy street-art vibes with graffitied walls that light up under blacklight. The bathroom is particularly colorful under the blacklights.
