Who doesn’t like the sound of a free dinner? At NYC’s & SON Steakeasy, you’re able to roll dice for the chance to have your bill completed erased.
The restaurant recently launched its new happy hour, known as 7 before 7. Essentially, if you pay your check before 7pm, you have the opportunity to roll dice. If you roll a 7, your meal is on & SON. Each customer is only allowed one roll.
7 before 7 happy hour is available from Mondays through Fridays starting at 5pm to 7pm, and Saturdays and Sundays from 11am to 7pm. You must be dining in the Front Bar Room at the Greenwich location to take advantage of this deal.
& SON prides itself on not being your dad’s steakhouse. This modern fine dining establishment for everyone is located within a 190-year-old Greenwich Village townhouse. The entire restaurant spans two levels and three rooms, blending the atmosphere and vibes of both a steakhouse and speakeasy.

As you can imagine, a steak dinner could run up a pretty steep tab. However, from what we can tell, there’s no check maximum for the 7 before 7. That means if you acquire a $500 bill but abide by all the proper regulations (before 7pm in the Front Bar Room) and roll a 7 on your first try—girl math—you have an extra $500 to spend! Or you could spend it on some cocktails upstairs at Father’s Study, the 1920s speakeasy.
