Head to Times Square today (Friday, January 7th) from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. and catch a full-scale, 70-foot rocket taking over Times Square. The model is parked in front of the Nasdaq Tower, where Dan Hart, Virgin Orbit’s CEO, will be ringing the Nasdaq stock market opening bell.
On a mission to open space to everyone, Virgin Orbit is “the world’s first responsive air launch system sending satellites to Low Earth Orbit,” working with large companies such as NASA, Sitael, & SatRevolution.
The model rocket in Times Square is a replica of Virgin Orbit’s LauncherOne Rocket “that combines proven technology with state-of-the-art manufacturing techniques to propel human curiosity to new heights.”

Visitors will be able to go up close to the LauncherOne model and Virgin Orbit customer satellites to learn more about the company’s capabilities and air launch. Virgin Orbit may even take you to space with an available AR experience that will teach the public more about Low Earth Orbit, air launch, and Virgin Orbit.
It’s sure to rock-et your world!
