June is certainly building up to be one of the most eventful months of the year, with Pride celebrations taking place all throughout the city and the annual Puerto Rican Day Parade set for tomorrow, there’s something fun to do everyday.
With one day to go, the city is gearing up for the 62nd Puerto Rican Day Parade, a means of celebrating the ever-growing population of Puerto Rican citizens not only in NYC but in the United States. Other than the Pride Parade, Puerto Rican Day Parade has consistently held one of the biggest turn outs to date. The theme this year is called “One People, Many Voices” and will represent an appreciation of the rich history, art and culture of the community, as well as a tribute to the first responders during Hurricane Maria.
