QC NY’s serene oasis lets you escape the city without actually have to leave New York. We got a sneak peek of the experience ourselves, and it’s just the pampering you’ve been looking for!
After five years of planning and construction, QC NY, which was originally slated to open in the fall of 2021, has been welcoming guests onto its gorgeous grounds since March for a transformative wellness experience less than a 10 minute ferry ride away.
This Saturday, May 28th, their highly-anticipated outdoor tempered infinity spa pools will officially open.
Guests can expect to dry-off and feel revitalized as a dip in the heated pools will promote relaxation and increase lymphatic circulation thanks to underwater hydro seats and loungers that will massage the body. Oh, and did we mention they’re backed by the most beautiful view of the city skyline? Talk about paradise!
They will remain accessible year-round now that Governors Island is open 365 days a year, and day passes start at $88/person.
Along with the rest of the luxurious Italian wellness spa, the pools are on the property of Governors Island’s beautifully restored and historic Army Barracks.
Founders Saverio and Andrea Quadrio Curzio are known for taking on the challenge of transforming and refurbishing historic buildings into breathtaking day spas while preserving the spaces rich history.
All of the interior at QC NY from the walls, to the floors, and the ceilings are original to the barracks with the addition of gorgeous Italian imported, custom design and decor.
This is QC Terme Spas and Resorts’ first U.S. location. The entire spa differs from a more traditional wellness experience you might find in America as QC NY believes that wellness is more about mindfulness, which might look different to each individual. Therefore, the spa has created over a dozen rooms and amenities to suit all sorts of personal wellness.
If music is your best practice of mindfulness, head to their Jukebox Club relaxation room where you can cozy into a leather armchair and let rich tunes transport you worlds away.
In need of a detox? Relax on their plush infrared beds and unwind.
The spa includes more incredible amenities like themed saunas and steam rooms with their own signature scent, invigorating vichy showers, and their most prized feature, outdoor thermal pools that boast unmatched views of Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Jersey.
Beyond their spa amenities, transcend into an ultimate state of relaxation with one of their life-changing massages. Ranging from 25, 50, to 75 minute sessions, customize your music, techniques and aromas. We must say, this is a definite must-do. It was truly incredible!
And what’s some quality R&R without light bites and drinks? Make sure to check out their Italian bistro offering poached salmon salad, Venchi chocolates, and all the mimosas you could dream of.
All purchases are made easy with loadable bracelets you will receive upon entry so you won’t have to carry around your wallet.
“QC NY is the escape and pampering that New Yorkers have been waiting for. After years of planning, restoration, and building, we are so proud to bring this enchanting oasis to the city,” shared Janine DiGioacchino, CEO of QC US, “Now, more than ever, we all need and deserve mental and physical self-care and our guests can fully relax and restore.”
Day Passes will be available on both weekdays and weekends starting at $88. These passes include access to the entire spa along with its amenities and a roundtrip ferry ticket. All additional exclusions such as food, drink, and massage services can be made by appointment. Guests must be 21+.
