Prince’s legacy doesn’t seem to be showing any signs of diminishing in the eyes of New Yorkers with tons of events commemorating the late pop icon.
And that includes at Brooklyn Bridge Park’s Movies with a View series, which will screen the Prince hit and a host of other cinema classics -absolutely free!
Purple Rain – July 21st – was chosen for the festival to tie in with this year’s “This American Life” theme before the singer passed away. According to Gothamist, the lineup is:
July 7th: Singing in the Rain
July 14th: Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle
July 21st: Purple Rain
July 28th: It Happened One Night
August 4th: American Graffiti
August 11th: Selma
August 18th: A League of Their Own
August 25th: Mystery movie selected by the audience
