You may have hung out with the animals at the Bronx Zoo, but you’ve never seen them like this!
For the first time ever, the zoo will host Pumpkin Nights at the Bronx Zoo, bringing all the boos to the zoo this year and offering visitors a spooky twist.
This fun nighttime experience showcases the very best of the fall season. Based on the theme “what animals do after dark,” more than 5,000 animal-themed carved pumpkins and scenes will be spread out over a half-mile jack-o’-lantern trail. Special lighting techniques, thematic music, and fall treats and activities before and after the trail add even more fun to the experience.
In addition, the Bronx Zoo will continue their much-loved tradition of Boo at the Zoo, which will return on Saturdays and Sundays, September 30 through October 29 (plus Monday, October 9).
Pumpkin Nights at the Bronx Zoo debuts Thursday, September 28 with live pumpkin carving demonstrations, outdoor games, festive fall treats and food trucks, photo-ops, and overall fun for all ages.
Tickets are on sale now and cost $34.95 for adults 12 and up and $24.95 for children ages 3-12 ($36.95 for adults and $26.95 for children on Fridays and Saturdays).
Wildlife Conservation Society members will receive a 40% discount.
Pumpkin Nights at the Bronx Zoo will take place Thursdays through Sundays (6 p.m. – 10 p.m.) September 28 through October 29.
In the meantime, Bronx Zoo Total Experience tickets can be purchased here.
While you’re there, be sure to step inside a world of 1000+ boisterous birds–colorful budgies (or budgerigars if you’d like to get technical)–at the Bronx Zoo’s newest exhibit Budgie Landing, open now through October!
