Chag Sameach!
Passover is a time of reflection and celebration for those of Jewish heritage, when the community commemorates their ancestors’ exodus from Egypt and the end of slavery for their people. It comes with many traditions — from holding Seder on the first night with prayers and symbolic food items, to reading the story from the Book of Exodus in the Torah — and of course, lots of delicious (unleavened) dishes that have been passed down through generations.
This year, Passover begins at sundown Saturday, April 12th and ends at sundown on Sunday, April 20th. Many NYC institutions have special Passover menus and treats that you can enjoy in-person or bring home to celebrate the holiday with loved ones.
