A few weeks ago we reported that the internet heartthrob “Salt Bae,” Nusret Gökçe, will open new open a new branch of his restaurant, Nusr-et, in Manhattan… Now we know where!
The steakhouse will be a combination of Gökçe’s signature butcher shop upfront, with an open kitchen dining area.
Nusr-et in NYC is due to open in the city in September, but there has been some confusion as to where. The NY Post reported that it will take over the space currently occupied by China Grill, at 60 W. 53rd Street in the CBS building. However Eater confirmed that the location of Nusr-et steakhouse may not be exactly correct when they followed up with a spokesperson from China Grill.
Well now its official, China Grill has closed it’s doors after a three decade run in the famous CBS Building (60 West 53rd Street) making room for the internet’s own Salt Bae.
