The immersive show called Odd Man Out is here in NYC for a limited time in June and July! The Sheen Center for Thought and Culture (18 Bleecker St.) will be the venue for this incredible experience in total darkness.
Board a “flight” with PITCHBLACK AIRLINES and journey through the highs and lows like you never have before. Go on the journey of the turbulent life of Alberto, a blind jazz musician traveling home to New York after years of self-exile. Perceive life just as he does, through sound, smell, taste and touch, everything but sight.
Arrive at the experience and await at the PITCHBLACK AIRLINES lounge where the cabin crew will prepare you for this unique journey. You will be guided to board the pitch-black cabin, once in your seat you’ll be experiencing the story through your other senses. you’ll even feel weather happening inside the room
PITCHBLACK THEATER is a technique developed by blind artists in Argentina. These experiences are now available worldwide. Guests experience the “blind” eyes of figures like Alberto. This breath-taking experience awakens your other senses as you relive the voyage of this character.
Sessions are available in Spanish on select dates, on June 30th at 7 p.m., July 6th and July 13th at 2 p.m. This limited event is recommended for ages 13+.
