NYC’s “Times Up” Bagel May Just Be This Years Must-Eat Food Craze
The people behind the infamous “Rainbow Bagel” have created a new savory bagel in honor of the “Times up!” movement, made famous recently during this year’s Golden Globes.” Here are the details.

After the Golden Globes, the “Times up!” movement seems to have developed enough momentum to be adopted by more than just the Hollywood glitterati. NYC’s bagels are doing there part too… yeah seriously.

A litany of male Hollywood elites have fallen from grace recently thanks to the courage of countless women and men coming forward to demand justice for their foul treatment. As a reaction, at this year’s Golden Globes, the “Time’s up” movement was thrust into the cultural zeitgeist, demanding the perpetrators of sexual harassment face the music for their behavior. …So now you’re thinking what the hell does that have to do with bagels? Yeah, we don’t know either.

Cast your mind back to 2016 when the Rainbow Bagel craze took the city by storm. The masterminds of that colorful fad are the ones responsible for this with a notably less colorful creation, the black and white truffle, oil flavored savory, “Times Up” bagel.

You’d be forgiven for thinking that this is rather thinly veiled profiteering on the part of the purveyors of the “Times Up” bagel. You wouldn’t be alone either. But we’d encourage you to stow your cynicism for a second. In a reply to a post they made on Instagram, the Bagel Store had this to say:

We support many amazing causes on all levels. We work privately with organizations and individuals and will continue to do so. We wanted to use our platform to support, honor and bring awareness to this cause in the way we do best.

You can get your hands on a “Times Up” bagel at 754 Metropolitan Ave or online for custom orders at thebagelartist.com.
