‘Tis the season! (Well, almost…)
The Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree is set to arrive in NYC *very* soon, so grab your Santa hat and elf ears — we’re feeling festive.
The Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree sets an arrival date
Christmastime is right around the corner, and we’ll raise a glass of eggnog to the exciting news. Typically, the stunning spruces and dazzling Douglas firs of years past arrive at the start of November, and this year is no exception.
The tree will make its way into NYC on November 8th, and it’ll be accompanied by a family-friendly day of crafts and seasonal entertainment.
Typically, sight-seers and merrymakers arrive around 6am or so to watch the tree get set up — crane, chainsaw, and all. If you’re curious what the stunning greenery looks like sans 50,000 LED lights, consider this your behind-the-scenes opportunity.
Although we don’t have any specifics about this year’s tree, like its origins or the family making the donation, we’ll of course fill you in as soon as we know more about the spectacle.
Regarding the kid-friendly, fun: Meet the Tree Day at Rockefeller Center kicks off on the 8th at 10am and includes plenty of festive offerings for kiddos to enjoy: letters to Santa (a necessity, of course), a meet and greet with Snoopy, and Make-Your-Own Snoopy Station via Build-A-Bear. No need to tell us twice!
Although the event is free for families, registration is required. Visit the Rockefeller Center website to secure your spot.
