Fulfill your childhood cream cheese dreams with delicious snacks from this new East Village shop.
First of all, if you order your bagel with butter instead of a generous helping of cream cheese I don’t understand you. Cream cheese is a magical spread that seems to always fall in the shadow of bagel preferences—until now.
Becky’s Bites is the first shop in the city that is purely dedicated to cream cheese spreads. How no one thought of this concept before—in NYC no less—is particularly surprising, considering New Yorkers’ love for bagels and schmear. Here, the spreads are the main attraction with exciting flavors such as cookies & cream, peanut butter, and cappuccino.
While you can order mini bagels with your cream cheese of choice, you’ll probably want to try one of the Childhood Throwbacks like the Beckaroos (teddy graham cookies with funfetti dip); the Peanut Butter Jelly Time (salted peanut butter cookie chips with strawberry jam dip); or the S’mores and Chill (graham crackers, toasted marshmallow, and chocolate chip dip). You can also buy any of the cream cheese spreads separately in either a 2 or 8 ounce container. The shop is located in the East Village on 7th street, between Avenue A and 1st Avenue, and opens to the public today (Friday, July 28).

I think it’s fair to say, Becky with the cream cheese is a genius!
