If someone were to give us the choice between cycling through Manhattan or become a self taught lion tamer, we’d be in the lion’s den, whip in hand, quicker than you can say “bicycle clips”. Ok, maybe we are exaggerating a little, but those of us who do brave the streets on bikes know we are taking our lives in our own hands.
Citi Bike are launching a new initiative to increase cyclist safety. The plan is to introduce Blaze laserlights to 250 of the bicycles in it’s fleet.
The 300-lumen (that translates as “really bright”to laymen like us) LED lights will make riders more visible to traffic by projecting the image of a bicycle some 6 feet in-front of the cyclist. But, don’t take our word for it, check out the video below:
