Nothing is as lovely on Valentine’s Day as a beautiful love poem.
Amanda Wachob is a Brooklyn-based tattoo artist who is currently doing a 9-day-long residency where she is tattooing a love poem on strangers in the spirit of Valentine’s Day.
Wachob will work from inside the Whitney Museum Shop, tattooing 30 strangers over the course of the 9 days. The poem is inspired by artists Njideka Akunyili Crosby and Byron Kim, both featured at the Whitney Museum.

Although her time slots for the week are sold out, visitors can still go and watch her work inside the shop (and spend a wonderful day at the Whitney Museum as well).
