Yes, La Noxe is hidden away at the 28th St. subway station behind an inconspicuous door. But once found, guests are quickly whisked away into a secret world that’s been right underneath their nose…and quite literally their city.
Enjoy elegant dishes that combine mediterranean flavors with luxurious ingredients. Try their ceviche (from their catch of the day), shrimp vuelve a la vida and tostones, or their cassava hummus bites.
Choose from their incredible selection of wines, and liquors or try one of their signature cocktails like Forbidden Love with vodka, aloe, lemon, cucumber, and soda, the Uptown Local with dark rum, pineapple rum, coconut, demerara syrup, angostura bitters, tiki bitters, or the Tuscan Leather with bourbon, carpano antica, spiced pear liqueur, and angostura.
The cocktail bar was founded by Jey Perie after living in the South of France, Tokyo, and Barcelona. On their website Perie said, “Bemelmans Bar at The Carlyle in New York is the last establishment in New York where I truly feel inspired without being overwhelmed. I want La Noxe to become The Bemelmans of my generation.”
You can make reservations by Instagram DM, but act fast because once this secret is out, spots are sure to fill up fast!
So next time your on the train, make sure to be extra observant. Who knows what other wonderlands could be hiding behind closed doors.
