The global authority behind the famous World’s 101 Best Steak Restaurants has officially launched a brand-new ranking. It is called the World’s 101 Best Burger Places.
Released by the London-based Upper Cut Media House, this list celebrates the absolute best burger destinations across the globe.
A new global benchmark for burgers
The ranking introduces a highly curated global list of restaurants, bars, and dedicated burger specialists.
According to the creators, a great burger is definitely not fast food. It requires incredible product knowledge, meticulous sourcing, and perfect execution.
Unlike conventional lists that focus narrowly on taste, this ranking applies a much stricter evaluation approach. The judges looked closely at the quality of the patty, the bun, and the fries.
They also evaluated consistency, service, cleanliness, atmosphere, and overall hospitality. In the eyes of the evaluation team, a good burger alone simply is not good enough to make the top 101.
The NYC spots that made the cut
With New York City being home to some of the most respected chefs and purveyors in the world, our local spots definitely showed up. A massive eight different NYC venues made it onto the 2026 list.
