Much to the delight of little ones (and, let’s be honest, adults, too), Halloween falls on a Saturday this year, meaning there’s a whole day of frights, festivities, and candy-filled fun to look forward to.
And for families hoping to get into the Halloween spirit without spending a fortune, NYC Parks has you covered. On Saturday, October 31, parks and community gardens across the five boroughs will host more than 30 Halloween-themed events for kids and families, ranging from neighborhood trick-or-treating and candy giveaways to haunted gardens, festive parades, and even a spooky carousel.
Whether your little monsters are eager to show off their costumes, get crafty, or collect as much candy as their treat bags can hold, there are plenty of ways to celebrate close to home.
