A few months back we wrote about the duck who’s been taking Central Park by storm. We thought it was time for an update.
The Mandarin Duck has officially made bird watching cool and after a brief hiatus, he is back in the Central Park Pond. On January 31, popular bird watching account, Manhattan Bird Alert tweeted out that our feathery friend had made his way back to Central Park and is surviving the cold.
It is believed that he left for a brief stint to test out the waters on the East River.

He seems to have survived the arctic blast alright and is enduring the low temperatures and snow- something that experts believe he might not be accustomed to.
