A new immersive show is opening later this month and will have you setting sail on a magical dream experience without ever leaving land.
The new multimedia show coming to NYC’s Cunard Building in the Financial District allows audiences to step on board a classic ocean liner and set sail on an ocean of dreams, traveling through different eras that are only limited by their own imagination.
With cutting-edge visual effects and video mapping technology, Dream Ship DestiNY will transform the Cunard Building’s landmark architecture into a one of a kind canvas for high resolution digital content. During the 35 minute show, guests will see the architecture of the building come to life, enveloping them in light and color.
The building is located directly across from the famous Charging Bull sculpture and was the one-time headquarters of the Cunard Steamship Line luxury cruise liner company. It was built in 1921 and designated a landmark by the New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission in 1995. Today the space is owned by a hospitality company, Cipriani.
In a statement, partner and Executive Producer at Moment Factory (the people behind Dream Ship), Eric Fournier explained, “We are thrilled to work with Cipriani and kick-off our partnership with an unprecedented experience in New York City. At Moment Factory we are constantly pushing the limits of technology and entertainment, and D.S. DestiNY will introduce these innovative technologies to New York, fused with interactive, emotion-based storytelling.”
The show begins on August 24. You can check out more information about tickets and the show here.
