Not far behind Los Angeles, NYC has tied with Newport Beach, CA for some of the most expensive zip codes across the country.
L.A. holds the number one spot with “8 of the nation’s 100 most expensive zips.” NYC and Newport Beach follow close behind in second place, each with a total of 6 zip codes that made the list.

The report’s results show that 10013, 10007, 10282, 10012, 10001, 10069 are within the top 100 most expensive zip codes across America. That makes Tribeca, Battery Park City, NoHo/SoHo, Chelsea, & the Upper West Side not only the most expensive NYC neighborhoods, but some of the most expensive places to live in the entire nation!
With a median list price of $2,476,250 across the 100 cities in the report, costs have increased by more than $100,000 since 2020. All of the zip codes reported on the list can be found within just 11 states.
Beyond NYC, New York State racked up a total of 20 zip codes on the list—meaning New York makes up 20% of the most expensive zip codes in the U.S.!
