NYC DOT doesn’t just manage the city’s transportation infrastructure, they also run a sign shop selling exciting, limited-supply batches of NYC street signs across the five boroughs. And dropping this week, 50 Cornelia Street signs will be available for purchase on Friday, December 13th.
So what make this drop possibly more exciting than most? Well, Cornelia Street was once home to a sprawling apartment owned by none other than Miss Taylor Swift herself—there’s even a song about!
For years, fans have visited the street to get a glimpse of where their favorite popstar used to reside.
With this limited drop, fans can now own a piece of Taylor Swift history. So if you’re looking for the perfect gift for the Swiftie in your life, this is your chance!
NYC DOT has yet to reveal the time the Cornelia Street signs will be released, but they urge those interested to stay tuned on their Instagram for updates.
NYC DOT began selling street signs last June with a special Pride Month release of Christopher Street Stonewall Place signs. Each month since, they have dropped a new street sign, ranging from curbside parking regulations to intersection control signs, other street names signs and more. The street signs are made by the same staff responsible for the street signs you see all across NYC.
Cornelia Street signs were actually part of a previous sold-out drop, but are back by popular demand.
Additional former sold-out street signs include:
- Rivera Avenue Sign
- Stan Lee Way Sign
- Christopher “Notorious B.I.G.” Wallace Way Sign
- ‘Beastie Boys Square’ Sign
