New Yorkers broke out in cheers this weekend as the long-awaited results of the 2020 Presidential Election were announced.
And besides clapping for the winner (former Vice President Joe Biden), they also made sure to give special applause to one very important element of the voting process this year: the United States Postal Service.
Since so many Americans voted by mail this year, due to fears from COVID-19, the USPS played a pivotal role in making sure ballots made it to election offices and everyone’s vote was counted.
And in a series of incredibly heartwarming videos shared on social media, in Brooklyn, the Upper West Side, Washington Heights, and others areas of NYC, New Yorkers gave their own “thank you” salute to the hard-working individuals.
See them here, and try not to shed a tear!
They delivered for us! ๐บ๐ธ๐บ๐ธ๐บ๐ธ๐บ๐ธ
