This hidden NYC gem is serving up mouthwatering cocktails beneath beaming lights for an exciting new spot that should be on every NYers radar.
Make your commute a little more interesting when you stop for a drink at the 50th Street subway station on the downtown 1 line. Yes, literally inside the station.
You’ll forget all about your original destination once you discover this unassuming cocktail bar beneath Manhattan’s streets.
First opened in the new year, “Nothing Really Matters” gives you an intimate experience without the intimidation. Owner Adrien Gallo has created an inviting, transformative space that’s the perfect escape from all the city’s commotion.
Sit at the bar and meet Cyllan, their head mixologist, as you order one (or several) incredible creations from the diverse cocktail menu made of catchy NYC-themed drinks. We definitely recommend “Fearless Girl” made with apple & pear gin, pear brandy, spiced pear, and lemon along with the “Belmont” made with rum & spiced coffee (this one is smoked so it makes for a great little photo-op).
Originally expected to open in August/September of 2020, Nothing Really Matters had to launch two years later due to the pandemic. But let’s be clear, this long awaited spot has definitely been worth the wait.
Complete with all the NYC bar essentials from dim lighting to a dangling disco ball, we couldn’t forget to mention their sparkling bathroom that you’ll just have to see for yourself!
So whether you’re looking to shake up your commute or check out the hottest new spots, you’ll definitely want to add Nothing Really Matters to your list.
