Nathan Pyle lived in NYC for 5 years, moving from Ohio, working as an illustrator and T-shirt designer. Fascinated by the habits, rituals, and unwritten rules that exist between all New Yorkers he compiled them in his book, NYC Basic Tips and Etiquette.
This book should be mandatory reading for any tourist planning to visit the city, or should be gifted to any New Yorker that is blissfully unaware of how annoying he is to the rest of us. Here are some of our favorites from the book, and a few illustrations that didn’t make it to print:
