The Annual Moleskine Project is a collective exhibition of artists’ sketchbooks from around the world.
Now on their seventh year, Spoke Art presents The Moleskine Project—its annual collective celebrating the artist sketchbook. Over 60 international artists from the contemporary movement were asked to place their visions on the pages of a Moleskine sketchbook. The results are currently on display at Spoke Art’s New York City gallery.
SPOKE is an art space specializing in new contemporary painting, sculpture and illustration with an emphasis in accessible programming. Started in 2010, the gallery now houses two locations, one in San Francisco and one in New York City’s Lower East Side.
Sketchbooks are among on of the most intimate means by which artists express their creativity and are rarely displayed in the art world. The Moleskine Project VII is an opportunity to get up close with a part of contemporary artists’ lives that is rarely seen. Work from the exhibit is available for purchase via Spoke Art’s website and prices range anywhere from $200 to $3,000.
