This past Monday, the MTA released a test version of their app, MYmta. Let’s see if it does us any good.
In an effort to bring the MTA into the 21st century, New York’s main transport system has released an app with the aim of providing users with a real time update of train arrivals and delays. The app has arrived after months of delayed trains and (rightfully) upset commuters complaining how the outdated system desperately needs to be modernized. The app is currently available for download for both Apple and Android.
MYmta was tested earlier this year with a cohort of 2,000 subway riders and now that it has been released, it will be used to solicit more feedback from everyday users. In combination with other apps and websites like this one coming out on the regular, our daily commute should be on the road to improving- at least in theory!
