A Flood Watch Has Been Issued For New York City beginning at 8 am today and expected to be in effect until Friday at 2 pm.
Just in case you thought yesterday’s pleasant spring weather was the end of NYC’s unpredictable downpours… here comes the city with a big FU. A National Weather Service’s flood watch was issued on Tuesday and expected to last until Friday afternoon. In a series of tweets yesterday prepared NYers for 1.5″-2.0″ of rain and “tidal departures of 1-2.5 ft” with “Minor flooding.”
We are hoping that this is going to go a lot like the blizzard in March that was nowhere near as disastrous as expected. Still, stay safe out there guys. Here are the NWS tweets:
