Be careful out there today guys, the National Weather Service is warning of today’s thunderstorm bringing 60 mph winds and flash floods, here are all the details:
Remember last week, when we were all like, “damn, it’s hot! Summer’s here guys. put away all those Winter….blah blah blah” Yeah, well now a massive storm is rolling in. Welcome to New York, where the sun will melt your shoes one day and then rain sideways the next.
The National Weather Service is warning of severe thunderstorms and flooding this afternoon and evening. This afternoon’s storm is bringing 3 inches of rain and 60 mph winds potential flash floods that will continue on until tomorrow morning.
The storm front is moving in from Ohio, across Pennsylvania, and eventually hitting the city between 2 and 3 pm and continuing on until the early hours of Tuesday morning.The National Weather Service’s flash flood advisory will go on from noon today through to 4 am tomorrow.
Thankfully NYC should enjoy much less dramatic weather for the rest of the week, with temperatures hitting the 80s. That being said there will be high humidity, so forget about styling your hair.
