Everyone loves the nostalgia that comes from a warm summer night cozied up in blankets for an outdoor movie. And good for us, one of NYC’s most beloved outdoor screening series is returning for its 24th summer season!
Beginning once again this Thursday, July 11th, Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy will be screening movies at the Pier 1 Harbor View Lawn every Thursday evening.
This year’s movie lineup is as follows:
- July 11: Past Lives
- July 18: Pulp Fiction
- July 25: Mean Girls
- August 1: Creed
- August 8: But I’m A Cheerleader
- August 15: Bram Stroker’s Dracula
- August 22: The American President
- August: 29: Public Choice (the public is invited to vote for their favorite movie, from three titles: Spy Kids, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem, or School of Rock)
Movie goers can enter the lawn at 5 pm and movies will begin at sundown (around 8:30 pm). Guests can bring their own picnic blankets, but reminder: chairs and dogs are not permitted on the lawn.
Guests may bring their own food or enjoy food options from a rotating selection of independent food trucks and vendors. Vendors include Green Street, Kinky Taco, Makina Cafe, Jamrock Jerk, and Memphis Seoul, among others.
Along with delicious bites, there will also be alcoholic beverages at Brooklyn Bridge Park’s Bar by Fornino available for purchase for adults 21 and over.
In past years guests were entertained before the movies began with DJs spinning music courtesy of Brooklyn Radio, plus screenings of film shorts by local filmmakers selected by BAM Film.
