5 Mouthwatering Thanksgiving Dinners In NYC

Turkey and potatoes and pumpkin pie, oh my! Thanksgiving is right around the corner, and if you still don’t know what to eat, you’re in luck.

No matter what your plans are for Thanksgiving or even Friendsgiving, there are loads of incredibly delicious options right here in New York. If only they were on menus year-round!

From creamy whipped mashed potatoes and succulent turkey, to twists on the classics with pumpkin pie milkshakes and chipotle yams, here’s where to go for the tastiest Thanksgiving dishes in NYC.

1. Black Tap 35th

Black Tap makes delectable burgers and milkshakes for every occasion — including Thanksgiving! The Thanksgiving Burger is a turkey burger (of course) with brie, applewood smoked bacon, corn and sage potato roll stuffing and cranberry orange aioli. And the milkshake is a pumpkin spice shake with vanilla mini marshmallow rim, topped with an actual slice of pumpkin pie, turkey marzipan lollipop and whipped cream!

2. Park Avenue Tavern, Midtown

In addition to their regular menu, Park Ave Tavern is offering a scrumptious three-course Thanksgiving menu with choices like: Fall Squash Bisque, Apple Cider-Brined Slow Roasted Turkey Breast, Maple Cranberry Relish, and Pumpkin Croissant Bread Pudding. $49 per person, $22 for children.

3. Bubby’s, Tribeca

Bubby’s has been serving New Yorkers for almost 30 years, and actually opened on Thanksgiving Day itself in 1990! This year they’re serving a traditional family-style Thanksgiving dinner from 11:45 a.m. to 9 p.m. for $75 for adults, $50 for children under 10. Bubby’s turkeys come from Pallman Farms in upstate NY and all sides, fixins and pies are made from scratch. Plus, a portion of the proceeds are donated to New York City Rescue Mission.

You can also visit the day after for their infamous “Leftovers Sandwich” (pictured above) complete with savory cornbread stuffing, turkey, gravy and sweet tart cranberry sauce on sourdough.

4. Beauty & Essex, Lower East Side

At Beauty & Essex, Executive Chef Sarah Nelson has created a deliciously special pre-fixe menu as well as à la carte options for Thanksgiving.

The pre-fixe menu is three courses for $68 per guest, with choices like Smoked Bacon & Tomato Soup Dumplings, Spiced Pecan & Dried Cherry Cornbread Stuffing, and Classic Roasted Turkey with Honey & Sage Butter Glaze. For the à la carte option, you can order Roasted Bone Marrow, Sweet Potato Ravioli, Maple & Chipotle Hand Mashed Yams, and more!

5. Hortus NYC, NoMad

Hortus NYC.

If you’re looking for something a little more high-end and a little less traditional, elevated modern Asian casual fine dining destination Hortus might be the perfect choice for you. They are offering a prix fixe Thanksgiving dinner for two for $130 with an additional wine pairing option for $50/person.

Guests will have a choice of oysters, raw selection or king crab for the first course; for the second, a choice of two starters alongside 4 oz. of A5 Wagyu or Foie Gras; and for the main course, a ‘to share’ dish with two sides or Hortus NYC’s Thanksgiving Special Dish, which features a Whole Roast Chicken with Black Truffle.

For dessert, a slice of Pumpkin Cheesecake will add a sweet finish to the holiday meal.
