We all know how expensive renting in New York City is, but can you guess what the most expensive specific streets are?
Hint: they’re all in the same three neighborhoods! And lots of celebs live in one…
Street Easy released a report where they calculated what the most expensive streets in the city are, based on the median building rental prices. They used their Rent Score tool that “compares the relative cost of Manhattan apartment buildings while holding constant the qualities of the apartments themselves (e.g. bedroom count, floor, penthouse units) to produce a score that represents the building’s overall priciness.”
The most expensive street is Fifth Ave in the Flatiron District, with the most expensive building (212 Fifth Ave) having a median asking rental price of $26,500 per month.
Here’s the full list:
-
Fifth Avenue, Flatiron
-
Greenwich St., Soho
-
Laight St., Tribeca
-
Hudson St., Tribeca
-
Greene St., Soho
-
Mercer St., Soho
-
Warren St., Tribeca
-
Washington St., Tribeca
-
Lispenard St., Tribeca
-

So Tribeca, Soho and Flatiron take the lead. Not so surprising, but those kinds of prices are still crazy to fathom!
