McNally Jackson is saying their goodbyes to 52 Prince Street after a long 19 years in the location, as shared by them in an Instagram post.
Don’t fret though–they’re not going far!
They’re only moving a few blocks down, from 52 Prince Street, which they’ve been at since 2004, to 134 Prince Street, so it’s not like you’ll never see them again. Plus, they also have four other locations in Williamsburg, Seaport, downtown Brooklyn, and the most recently opened Rockefeller Center.
Though they love their old store, they state that the new location is “larger and sturdier.”
“In the Rockefeller Center bookstore, we expanded and changed the way we sell nonfiction. The new NoLita store will do the same, with vastly more history, politics, essay, and memoir,” says McNally Jackson according to Publisher Weekly.
Before their sentimental goodbye, they’re asking NYers to revel in a bit of nostalgia and share with them their fondest memories of the bookstore, the cafe, or the crazy Borges bathroom.
Looks like we’ll just have to all make memories in their new store!
Their last day open at 52 Prince Street will be Tuesday, March 21.
