You can enjoy a colorful light show, get a good pic and give back to a great cause at Brookfield Place this year with their “Light Up Luminaries”!
Adding to all of the amazing light displays in the city, Brookfield Place has their own colorful lantern feature created by design studio the LAB at Rockwell Group that is inspired by the season’s traditions of sharing, giving and community.
The display is in their Winter Garden area, the soaring glass atrium with striking views of the Hudson River and the North Cove Marina. The suspended canopy with hundreds of glowing lanterns change in color and intensity, and there’s an interactive component where visitors can make a “wish” on three “wishing stations” that travel up to the lanterns and activate a magical light show. For every wish made, Brookfield Place will donate $1 (up to $25,000) to the nonprofit Cookies for Kids’ Cancer, which raises funds for research to develop new, improved and less toxic treatments for pediatric cancer.
They also have light shows every hour from 8am-10pm December 4 – January 3, set to popular holiday songs by Michael Bublé, The Bird and The Bee, Tony Bennett, and featuring a new show featuring “Let it Snow” by Pentatonix.
The luminaries will officially be lit for the season on December 3 from 5-8pm, when guests will also get to enjoy free ice skating, treats and live performances!
