Your Magnum ice creams are about to get a seriously tasty upgrade.
For it’s third year, Magnum has brought their seasonal pop-up shop to SoHo, and just in time before National Chocolate Ice Cream Day on June 7.
Over the weekend, the Magnum Ice Cream Dipping Bar officially opened, and it’s the ultimate toppings bar! With over 18 different treats to choose from, take your pick from “dark chocolate crispy caviar” to rose petals, dried cherries, and half-popped popcorn.
When you arrive at the 132 Spring St. location, a “bartender” will assist you through the ice cream assembly process. First, you’ll choose all your toppings. Once you’ve decided want you’d like, you’ll pick whether you want vanilla or chocolate ice cream. The dipping chocolate follows, and it’s heavenly to watch. Your Belgian chocolate options for coating consist of milk, dark, or white chocolate.
Then comes the pretty decorative part! All of your topping are put onto the fresh chocolate coat before it hardens. Once all of the toppings have been added, you can choose between a milk, dark, or white chocolate drizzle to add on top of your creation. Voila! Your beautiful ice cream is ready to be photographed (because without one, did it ever really happen?) and promptly devoured.
If you think the photograph suggestion was a joke, think again. Magnum has actually set up two beautiful display cases for your fabulous ice cream bar photoshoot.
The pop-up is open Mondays through Saturdays from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m., and on Sundays from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m.
