Millennials may remember comedian Liam Kyle Sullivan from his viral YouTube video “Shoes” he posted 16 years ago back in 2006. Well his shoe-loving character, a blonde named Kelly, went on to become a muffin connoisseur a year later, in his once again viral YouTube video “Muffins” where he looked…like he had definitely aged more than one year.
Well, now he’s back, hitting the big screen (well…our roughly 6 inch phone screens) once again!
Reported by Good Morning America, Magnolia Bakery has teamed up with Sullivan to promote their brand new breakfast loaves.
The new Magnolia Bakery video is the perfect nod to Sullivan’s ’07 Muffins video in which he lists an array of muffin flavors for the fictional business “Cunningham Muffins.” However, Magnolia’s flavors are guaranteed to be much tastier and more edible than some of Cunningham Muffin’s questionable flavors (paperclip, bits of glass, blood, and ink, just to name a few).
Magnolia’s new breakfast loaves include flavors such as lemon loaf, made with fresh lemon juice and club soda, banana chocolate chip loaf with semi-sweet chocolate chips, and coffee cake crumb, made with a sour cream and butter-based batter and topped with a pecan cinnamon brown sugar crumble.
Customers can try the new loaves in-house, or order a sampler pack exclusively from the bakery’s website.
“I’m a huge fan of Magnolia Bakery and a fan of breakfast loaves–so I knew this was the perfect opportunity to reboot the original video,” Sullivan told Good Morning America. “Plus, I still perform the Muffin Lady on Cameo for fans and she still cracks me up.”
Watch the video below to overwhelm you with all that early 2000’s nostalgia and to find out the rest of Magnolia Bakery’s new break loaf flavors.
