The Queen of Pop will hit the stage at Pier 17 for World Pride 2019, and it’s the Monday news we didn’t know we needed.
This morning, Madonna announced that she will be headlining Pride Island on June 30th. After much speculation and rumors among fans, she made the news official by announcing her appearance exclusively through a video broadcasted by the Today Show. In the video she says: “I hear you. I’ll be on Pride Island, where I was born.”

Sunday’s Pride Island festival has been sold out since March, but rumors of Madonna’s participation in the big event were already being whispered about way before then. According to the news, the Queen of Pop will not only be making an appearance but will also be performing a few songs.

The Madame X singer will be dropping her brand new album on June 14, so she will be celebrating both the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Riots as well as her new album release.
As for Saturday, June 29th, Pride Island’s headliner will be none other than the fabulous Grace Jones.
