Cherry blossoms and sunshine aside, real New Yorkers know that the official sign of Spring being here is the seasonal reopening of Coney Island’s amusement parks!
Right on schedule, Luna Park will reopen to visitors this Friday, March 31st, at noon!
With a new year comes new attractions. Joining the lineup of iconic attractions like the Coney Island Cyclone and the Thunderbolt, Luna Park is welcoming guests back for a season of unforgettable thrills and memories with brand new attractions like the Tony’s Express roller coaster and Leti’s Treasure log flume.
Luna Park will open every weekend until Memorial Day Weekend for visitors to test their limits on high thrills, play classic boardwalk games, and enjoy entertainment only Coney Island can offer.
Deno’s Wonder Wheel Amusement Park, Luna Park’s neighbor, officially opens on April 2nd, so prepare to plan your family outing accordingly! The two parks offer completely different experiences, so we recommend making time to experience both. Events to celebrate and commemorate both parks take place this Palm Sunday in Coney Island.
In addition to the two new rides, Luna Park welcomes New York City’s tallest ocean-side ropes course overlooking the Coney Island beach and boardwalk, the Sky Chaser.
