One of fashionistas’ favorite luxury brands is at it again.
The Louis Vuitton x Murakami pop-up in Soho is celebrating its new re-edition by paying homage to Chapter One of the capsule. Visitors will be ushered into a bold, inviting space modeled after a Tokyo modular hotel, where they can shop, explore, snack, and revel in the fun designs.
In case you missed the spectacular Louis Vuitton holiday lights show and have yet to snag a reservation at the brand-new Louis Vuitton Café, you can get your fashion fix downtown. The exhibition space features Y2K goodness like the beloved Monogram Blossom (2003) and Monogram Cerise (2005) while the cinema space features Murakami’s remastered films inspired by Japanese animation: The Superflat Monogram and Superflat First Love.
Those visiting on the weekend of January 10th to 12th can venture to the pop-up’s cafe for cinnamon cappuccinos, roiboos lattes, vegan hot chocolate, and panda-shaped pastries. If you’re interested in revitalizing an old accessory from the Y2K era, a care station will offer replacement pieces, canvas and metal cleaning, and restoration of hand painted motifs to get your pieces spick and span. A detail we especially love? The oversized vending machine with LV x Murakami merch, like stickers, cards, and portable games. (A token for vending machine access is awarded to those who make a purchase.)
Should you be out of town for the pop-up, fear not: Louis Vuitton has taken the celebration globally with events in London, Milan, Seoul, Shanghai, Singapore, and Tokyo. When are you going to stop by and visit this colorful world?
