Iconic comedy series SNL kicked off with a bang last September for its 50th season, teasing a lineup of popular newcomers, iconic songstresses, hilarious comedians, and beloved actors. So far the show has already seen its share of incredible hosts, from Charli XCX and Ariana Grande to Michael Keaton and John Mulaney–and now fans of the series can get to experience what it’s like to host the series themselves!
NBC has officially announced “Live from New York: The SNL50 Experience,” an immersive, Studio-8H-inspired experience that hands hosting duties over to the fans. Attendees will experience both the on-camera magic (hope you’re not camera shy!) and off-camera rush of SNL, with surprises around every corner.

Audiences have been tuning into SNL for half-a-century’s-worth of Saturday nights; some imagining what it would be like to step into the host’s shoes for an evening. The experience is finally a chance to peel back the curtain and hear your name announced to the audience.
Live from New York: The SNL50 Experience will run for four days only, from Thursday, January 30th to Sunday, February 2nd at Rockefeller Center. The experience takes place just ahead of SNL’s highly anticipated three-hour primetime broadcast, “SNL50: The Anniversary Special,” which will air live on NBC and Peacock on Sunday, February 16th.

Free and open to the public–ages 16 and up–reservations will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis beginning Tuesday, January 14th, 2025 at 12 pm–seems like the absolute perfect thing to add to your weekend to-do list! Be sure to set your alarm and reserve your spot!
Oh, and don’t forget that each summer the SNL Ticket Lottery opens, giving NYers the chance to score free tickets to the show!
