The first five episodes of SNL’s milestone 50th season are nothing short of fantastic.
Popular newcomers are hitting the stage, as are iconic songstresses, hysterical comedians, and beloved actors. Let’s just say NBC understood the assignment and choose to ring in this legendary moment with 2024’s best.
See the SNL 50th season lineup
The sketch comedy series took to Instagram on September 18th to tease guests and performers with its famed sticky notes. The shot provides insight from opening night, Saturday September 28th, to Saturday, November 2nd — the first five episodes of the season.
Even if the SNL ticket lottery didn’t work in your favor this time around, you will still be absolutely thrilled with this brilliant lineup. Drumroll, please:
- September 28th: Jean Smart and Jelly Roll
- October 5th: Nate Bargatze and Coldplay
- October 12th: Ariana Grande and Stevie Nicks
- October 19th: Michael Keaton and Billie Eilish
- November 2nd: John Mulaney and Chappell Roan
Considering Chappell just blew our minds at the VMAs — and the fact that The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess has spent nine weeks in the Top 5 on the Billboard 200 and “Good Luck, Babe!” has garnered nearly one billion streams — you could say we’re pretty pumped about this news.
And we don’t know about you, but we’re officially channeling those spooky season vibes, so Michael Keaton, a.k.a. Beetlejuice himself, is an obvious choice.
If you haven’t added the show to your weekend to-do list, now is the time to get on it. Even though there are so many episodes to go, we have a feeling you won’t want to miss anything. So, who are you staying up late to watch? Everyone? Same.
SNL airs on Saturdays at 11:30pm ET on NBC and streams live on Peacock beginning September 28th.
