In order to celebrate the release of the new Netflix original film “The Irishman,” directed by Martin Scorsese and starring Robert De Niro, Little Italy will be traveling back in time to 1975.
On Friday, Nov. 22 and Saturday, Nov. 23 from 9am to 7pm, Little Italy’s streets will be transformed to another era, mimicking the setting of the new gangster drama. For the occasion, Little Italy restaurants and businesses will be giving out FREE limited edition favors including food, drinks and more!
All you have to do is “tell ‘em Jimmy sent you” (referencing Al Pacino’s character in the film, Jimmy Hoffa).
Participating businesses include Parm, Parisi Bakery, Sal’s Little Italy, Caffe Roma, Ferrara Bakery & Cafe, and more. You can see the full list and map of the locations below.
The Irishman tells the story of “hit man Frank Sheeran [as he] looks back at the secrets he kept as a loyal member of the Bufalino crime family,” according to the Netflix website. It already has 96 percent on Rotten Tomatoes and critically acclaimed reviews.
The film is currently playing in select theaters and will be released on Netflix on November 27.
